The Chacana Model is our first sneaker, a tribute to Peruvian heritage and sustainable design. Handmade in Peru, it blends tradition and innovation with every step.
Its name and logo are inspired by the chacana, the Andean cross, symbolizing balance and connection, values we carry in everything we do.
Made with alpaca fiber, corn-based vegan leather, and wild Amazonian rubber, this sneaker is built responsibly from the inside out. We only produce it on a pre-order basis, avoiding waste and making sure each pair has real purpose.
This is not just a sneaker. It’s a statement made with intention, made to last.
The Origin of Verú
Verú was born out of a simple yet powerful idea: to create a perfect balance between the highest quality materials and sustainability. We believe that luxury and responsibility can go hand in hand, and we set out to prove it with every step.
Our journey began in Peru, inspired by the richness of our land and the exceptional craftsmanship of our artisans. With a commitment to showcasing the finest locally sourced materials (recycled leather, soft alpaca wool interiors, and 100% recycled soles) Verú represents the perfect blend of tradition, quality, and sustainability.
At Veru, we’re not just making sneakers; we’re redefining what it means to create responsibly without sacrificing quality and style. Every pair is a step toward a more balanced, sustainable future.
Materials
Alpaca Wool
Soft, warm, and 100% natural. Alpaca fiber is one of the most eco-friendly materials in the world — it’s biodegradable, durable, and requires fewer resources to produce. Plus, alpacas tread lightly on the Earth, helping protect the Andean ecosystem.
Corn Vegan Leather
Made from leftover corn husks and oils, this plant-based leather is soft, durable, and cruelty-free. It’s a smart way to reuse what would otherwise go to waste — no animals, less impact, same premium feel.
Shiringa Rubber Sole
Our soles are made with wild Amazonian rubber, sustainably tapped from the Shiringa tree. Each pair supports indigenous communities and helps protect the rainforest — one step at a time.
Verú Crew
At VERÚ, we’re proud to say that 100% of our team is Peruvian, from design to production. Every pair of VERÚ is handmade in Peru.
We’re two founders driven by a shared passion: sneakers, innovation, and the power of Peruvian materials. We believe that world-class products can be made right here, by our people, with our resources, and that sustainability starts at home.
Every decision we make is rooted in purpose, culture, and pride. We're building VERÚ not just as a brand, but as a platform to show what Peru is capable of when we dare to dream differently.

Sustainability Goals
At VERÚ, sustainability isn't a trend, it's the heart of everything we do. Our sneakers are handmade in Peru, crafted with care using the most conscious materials: soft alpaca fiber from the Andes, innovative corn-based vegan leather, and wild rubber soles from the Amazon, supporting indigenous communities and preserving the rainforest.
We believe in slowing down fashion, which is why we only produce on a pre-order basis, no overstock, no waste, just intentional creation. Every pair of VERÚ is a step toward a better future, for people, for the planet, and for a more thoughtful way of walking through the world.
